Education and Awareness

Yasodhara Eco-club

Yasodhara Eco- club is a social and non-political organization established in 29th October 2017 by Pratiman-Neema College starting with 11 members. This has been expanded to two other schools in Siddharthanagar, Sushanskrit Secondary school and Paklihawa Secondary School and now it has about 150 members. They actively take part in citizen science projects and other environmental activities. Periodic meetings, discussion, and presentation have helped eco club members to develop the leadership skills. They are aware of scientific researches and community engagements programs. This been established as an important platform for the environment lovers not only to learn the skills but also to contribute their level best in mitigation and adapting to the changing of environment and contribute to protecting the Earth: “ Cultivating Care for Our Common Home”.

 

Display Board

Information display board was designed for dissemination of information about the citizen science projects including data science monitoring program: Air quality, weather, water quality, river stage, groundwater level and groundwater arsenic; environmental design projects etc and also to bring about awareness regarding health and environment issues at the community level.
